Walking along the path, the blood covered demon could be heard grumbling to himself as he held a canister in his hand " I cant believe this!" A growl of agitation left his lips " The Dying Bird man said to Deliver this to his contact up ahead. It would of been nice to know where that was exactly!" As he grew agitated, Streaks of lighting coarse over him.

" Note to self, Next time I see a fight along the road, DONT help out wandering for hours is going to be all that i have to look forward too" It wasnt the fact that Hanzo was doing the last Request of Legacy, it was the fact that he was hopelessly loss in finding the Avians contact " I should of tried to find one of their horse's. At least It wouldn't of been as bad as walking aimlessly"

Crestining a hill, Hanzo looked about the land trying to see if he could find this Contact " If The person Im looking for is dead, I am killing the first Faction group I come along. Bastards causing me to have to take this long detour.." With a growl, The N'vaen plopped down onto the ground, the bolts of lighting arching a bit more, giving away his position in the middle of the early dawn's night.

The person the demon was looking for was very much alive, but being very inconspicuous. The demon was heading well into Faction territory, and Gila had been reluctant to enter at first, until it became apparent the demon Legacy had wanted him to meet up with had gotten off course.

At present, the tiny dragon was following a ball of light he had conjured that was leading him to the demon, Hanzo, bending light around himself so he was invisible, and magically boosting his speed. At one point, he zipped right over a Faction patrol and smacked the patrol leader in the head as he passed, unseen, leaving the man cursing as he tried in vain to spot his attacker.

As he approached, he saw bolts of lightning, oddly arcing up from the ground, then slowed as he spotted their source. The ball of light flew forward and circled around the seated demon before vanishing. Gila, despite himself, took a moment to admire the display, landing on a large rock nearby, still invisible.

"You shouldn't do that unless you want to be spotted," he chirped after a moment.

Hearing a voice call out, the N'vaen started to look around him, the lightning that was coursing along his body slowly sinking back into his frame. " Who is there?" The demon's eyes would look around slowly as he started to rise. His hand slowly grasping his sword. " Faction or Dragon Ally?"

This was just great, the demon thought. ' First I decide to risk my life helping out Legacy and now im hearing Voice's. I swear to the deepest pits of Hell, someone is out to get me ever since i left my mountain'' Taking a deep breath, he was half tempted to just trow out a lightning dome about him but the nagging thought that this was the person he was looking for persuaded him to not do it

"Are you this mysterious Contact I am supposed to deliver this to" With a slight raise of his hand holding the canister, he would wiggle it slightly near him. His body was tense to react should he need it " If so Show yourself"

The tiny dragon briefly took to the air and circled around, eyes peeled for any signs of Faction patrols, as the demon demanded he show himself. He sighed softly, wishing he had some time to tease the demon a bit. But, duty called, and he landed on the boulder and allowed his concealment to fade.

"I didn't think I'd find you her, so close to Albronel. This is Faction territory. Figured Legacy wouldn't warned you," he mused. Then he eyes the canister the demon was holding, and took to the air again, circling around Hanzo's head, intending to land on his shoulder so he could get a better look at it.

Hearing the sound of something taking to the air, Hanzo would close his eyes and listen intently as his body slowly turned to follow the small dragons movements. After spending a few hundred years living in a mountain range helped one become use to following the sound of movements. When it stopped, the demon would open his eyes to see a small dragon sitting on a stone. This caused him to tilt his head as he listened to the comment about him heading towards Faction territory.

" Legacy didn't tell me much as he breathed his last, just to bring this to a messenger up the road." As the small dragon took off, he would follow it before noticing where it was wanting to land. Not really minding his body becoming a perch for the small dragon, he would hold out his arm for the small being to get a better landing spot as he raised the canister up for a closer inspection.

"I am surprised that the faction managed to get this far though. I didn't think I was secluded for that long. How long have they held it?" Looking about, he would check to make sure that they were indeed alone. A sudden though ran through his head before he started to mutter " That would explain the ambush I came across...."

Gila settled himself upon the demon's shoulder and leaned forward to get a better look at the canister when the demon's words reached him. His normally cheerful demeanor faltered, and he gazed at the demon in dismay. He hadn't known Legacy all that well, but knowing he was dead was hard to bear. So many had died already in this war.

He sighed, and looked away for a moment, then shook his head a bit as he forced himself to focus. There would be time for reflection later. "You must've been way out of touch. They have most of Felnova, now, and have spread to other Realms. They've held Albronel for..a year? Two? Something like that."

He returned his attention to the canister and once again carefully leaned forward to gaze at it, almost losing his balance before wrapping his tail around the demon's shoulder to steady himself. Then he glanced up at the demon again. "Ambush? Where was it?"

Hanzo couldn't help but let out a slight chuckle when the small dragon said he must of been out of touch. Though hearing how long the faction had held the city along with the amount of land they now held brought his light mirth down. Rolling his shoulder slightly as the Dragon got a better grip, he would look over at his new companion perched upon him. " Why are they able to push so far? It wasnt like this 400 years ago...."

Using the canister, Hanzo made a gesture towards the south west of them " About 5 miles back that way. I happened to stumble upon the battle and decided to help out the knights. Unfortunately I wasnt fast enough to prevent the final blows to Legacy." Hanzo didnt know who the rest of the knights were nor did he care to be honest, he had no real friends or comrades nor did he hold allegiance to anyone since he never had met the War Demon's lord.

" I had heard of the war going on when i came down from my seclusion upon the mountains. It irritated me to hear what was going on so I decided to visit the ruling city of your kind in order to figure out what was actually happening myself." A slight spark would arch from his perch free shoulder down to his hand in slight anger before disappearing quite quickly

"There's a lot of them," Gila offered, shrugging slightly. He still wasn't sure how a bunch of deluded fools like the Faction had managed to gain so much momentum either, but he supposed they were too stupid to know when to quit, even when they seemed determined to destroy Felnova by denying Verridith her rightful place as Queen of Vystriana.

"And now they've got the snakes fighting alongside them," he added after a moment, frowning slightly. That part didn't make sense to him. Why the Faction thought dragons were evil, but were willing to fight alongside snakekind was beyond his understanding. But then he perked up a bit.

"But we're starting to push them back, now. Aurelius took D'issan away from them," he revealed, eyeing the canister again. It looked to be fairly heavy. And the way the demon was holding it, he couldn't reach it from his perch. After a moment, he glanced at the demon. "Oh, if you still want to try to speak with Verridith, she's in the Crystal Fortress, deep in he mountains," he stated, gesturing vaguely in their direction.

PLOT RANDOM EVENT!

FACTION COURIER!

Couriers are seen racing from Albronel with all haste! Some go through portals immediately, while others ride on to distant places. All carry the same message when interacted with - the Faction is pulling back from other Realms, and is strengthening their hold in Felnova alone!

Your characters can either observe this, or interact with a courier - but be warned that this close to the Faction's stronghold of Albronel, you may not be able to escape the forces that crash upon you if you kill one and are caught!

You have 5 posts to work this plot event into your thread! Thank you!

Hanzo would give a slight shrug, not thinking about whether or not the small dragon would be shifted on his perch. " No idea who this Aurelius is though I think I have heard of Verridith before.." Tilting his head, he would try to think of where he had heard the name before but sadly, nothing came to mind. As the demon pondered, he would look around them for a small bit. " Though Why the snakekind are fighting for the faction? Any thoughts?" As he noticed the dragon gesture towards a certain direction, he would turn towards it.

As if as a afterthought, he would place the canister into the small dragons front legs. Turning his attention back to the dragon, he was about to ask another question before the sound of hoof beats echoed around them. He would quickly dart towards what small cover was on the hill, hand reaching up to grasp the small dragon so Gila wasn't knocked off the perch "We got Company it seems." Reaching the cover, he would crouch down behind a small boulder that would come up to his hip.

Reaching his free hand towards one of his specialty daggers as the silhouette of a rider on horseback appeared and he seemed to be flanked by two others. The insignia of the Faction standing out on their armor. The demon noticed that the one rider being flanked by the other two seemed to have a courier's bag attached to them. A slight whisper would leave his lips " Messenger...could be important no?" He would risk taking a glance towards GIla to see what she wanted to do

As the demon shrugged, Gila swayed slightly, but kept his perch without much difficulty. "He leads Vystriana's best knights. Verridith's the queen. You must really have been out of touch if you haven't heard of her," Gila explained, blinking in mild surprise when Hanzo mentioned only possibly having heard of her before.

His eyes widened slightly as the demon suddenly handed him the canister, and he would've lost his balance and fallen from the demon's shoulder if Hanzo hadn't suddenly placed a hand on his back as he abruptly darted to a small boulder and crouched down behind it. When the demon crouched behind the large rock, Gila caught sight of the courier and his escort.

He glowered at the trio of riders before he abruptly slipped off the demon's shoulder, grunting softly as he landed on the ground. Luckily it wasn't a far drop since the demon had crouched behind the rock. "I'll just...put this somewhere safe," he said softly, then vanished from the material world. Inside his mindscape, he set the canister among a small pile of other important things he had collected, then reappeared beside the demon.

"Yes, could be. And there's only three of them," he mused. Then he grinned slightly. "This seems like a good opportunity to see what that courier's got in that bag. I'll distract them, then we can strike," he stated as he abruptly faded from sight, light bending around him until he was completely invisible. Then he took to the air, unseen by the trio of riders as he zipped by and conjured up a sudden whirlwind in their path. The wind blew dust, leave, and stray bladed of grass into their faces, causing them to reign in their horses as they brushed the dust and debris from their faces, leaving them open to attack.

As he drew out one of the few knives he had hidden on him, the demon would blink in slight surprise as he saw Gila dispensary with the canister ' Almost 800 years and i still find it hard to imagine what magic can let people do' With a slight shake of his head, he would spin one of the knives in his hand as Gila appeared once more. After listening to the small dragon, he nodded before moving from the boulder towards the carrier and the guards after the dragon disapeard once more.

Staying low and walking in a crouch, the demon would sneak up behind the group as Gila created the distraction he needed. As the dust blew into the faces of the riders, Hanzo would take off in a dead sprint towards them, his hand flickering out as he threw the knife into the back of the neck of the courier itself. He had targeted the messenger first in order to buy as much time as he could.

The two guards would watch as the messenger fell to the ground, the bag containing the message falling with. They turned their horses around towards Hanzo, one drawing a sword and the other lowering a spear as they began to charge towards him. Hanzo quickly drew two more knives and held them in a reverse grip, lightning springing up from his body as it arched down to his blades, forming into the shape of two twin bastard swords on each end of the knives.

Rearing back a arm, he would launch one of the knives towards the riders, the blades of lighting crackling as he prayed one would be taken down as the lightning grew to be a total length of 6 feet on each end, the effort of it showing on Hanzo as a slight pant could be heard comming from him.

Gila watched as the courier feebly reached up with a trembling hand to reach feebly for the dagger sprouting from the back of his neck before he slowly toppled from his horse, while his escorts wheeled towards Hanzo and readied their weapons. The tiny dragon circled overhead as they charged towards the demon, only for the swordsman to be felled by another knife, this one crackling with lightning.

The spearman, an elf, ducked down and raised a shield of energy, deflecting the lightning as the knife took down his comrade. Then, with a snarl, he readied his spear, now glowing blue with conjured reiatsu, an hurled it at the demon with all his might. But, though his aim was true, and the spear wreathed in power, its flight was disrupted when Gila, still unseen, dropped onto it, grimacing as the elf's reiatsu raced through his small frame.

But it was enough. The spear embedded itself in the ground as Gila was forced to land beside it, momentarily disoriented. The elven rider cursed under his breath and wheeled his horse away, spurring the beast into a gallop as he raced away from a fight he was no longer confident of winning. But, with as man patrols as there were likely to be this close to Albronel, he would undoubtedly be back before long with reinforcements.

Still a bit shaky, Gila dropped his invisibility as he padded towards the courier's body and retrieved the man's messenger bag. He peeked inside it, and grinned as he saw a sealed scroll within, marked with Nina's personal seal. Whatever this was, it was important. But, tempted as he was to open it right then and there, the elf galloping away was a more pressing concern.

"If he gets away, we'd better make ourselves scarce or prepare for a tough fight," he stated, flexing his wings a bit and flexing his paws as he sought to work the tingling feeling from them.

As Gila dropped the invisibility cloak, Hanzo looked at the small dragon as he collected his knives. Seeing the rider slowly gaining distance, he would let out a small grunt of annoyance before summoning as much of the electrical current left in his body to form a bow out of the lightning. " Good thing he has some metal on him..." Pulling back on the bow, he would take aim before launching three arrows made out of his lightning in rapid succesion. Each one aimed to hit farther then the last.

Either he would hit the elf or force the rider to loose precious time trying to dodge and find cover. Glancing over at the dragon, he would let out a slight laugh mixed between relief and annoyance " Thank you for the spear. I know you did something in order to make the aim go off. Unfortunately we need to make a quick exit" Walking over to the corpses, he would rummage through and take what he thought was useful. " I dont have any destination in mind, though if you would like, I can accompany you till We can hit your allies nearest fort or something. "

The exhaustion of using so many electrical attacks in a row was severly draining on the N'vaen. It showed as well as his breathing was almost panting " Though If you want to leave you can. I can try to find a place to lay low untill I can make my way to the nearest safe city"
